#39: Cutie in Pennsylvania
If you don’t ooh and ahh over this photo, you might want to measure your heart against the Grinch. Is there anything cuter than a little girl orchestrating and communicating with three does in her backyard? I think not. Pennsylvania has an amazing deer population, with close to 1.5 million deer within the state.
In fact, the white-tailed deer is Pennsylvania’s state animal. There are 30 deer per square mile. Of course, these numbers took a lot of work using conservation efforts. The population in the early 1900s was as low as 5,000. Contrary to popular belief, it was the efforts and funds of hunters that brought the population back.
