#46: Only the Best for Vermont
People from Vermont are very serious about their maple syrup. There are hundreds of different Grade A Vermont syrups, and each one has a backstory about the family that started the brand. Honestly, it’s not even that expensive. Well, compared to Mrs. Buttersworth, it is, but overall, it’s not so bad!
An interesting couple of facts: Vermont’s maple syrup production was over one million gallons before 1935, before other types of syrup hit the scene (ahem, Mrs. Buttersworth). It dipped down to less than 300,000 gallons in the 70s and has slowly found its way back to over 2 million as of 2022!
