King Kamehameha’s Burial Chamber
In the early 19th century, King Kamehameha controlled every island of Hawaii. He died in 1819 and was buried with over a million dollars worth of precious stones and jewelry. However, the whereabouts of his burial site were unknown to the general public, and his remains have remained undiscovered to this very day.
There’s a Hawaiian proverb—the morning star alone knows where Kamehameha’s bones are guarded—which might be a sign that his burial chamber is somewhere in Maui. However, nobody is allowed to try and locate his remains and hidden treasure in order to protect the great king’s power.
