Has any children’s cartoon had a longer shelf life and more of an impact on our culture than Scooby-Doo? Even now, more than fifty years after the first Scooby cartoon came out, they are still putting out new shows and films, and people are still quoting, “And I would have gotten away with it if it weren’t for you meddling kids!”
But even for those who’ve grown up with Mysteries Inc., some people misremember a certain detail about Scooby’s best bud: Shaggy has never had a prominent Adam’s apple. Maybe they saw the shape of his facial scruff and, in their memories, transposed it to his neck? Come on, internet; you guys will never unmask the Spooky Space Kook with observational skills like that.
