#43: Color Confusion
It’s great that there are so many cool words out there for describing very specific shades because it lets you get really precise with your language. But it can also be a problem if a word is too obscure and people don’t know it.
Chartreuse is a tricky one, indeed. Do you know what it means? I don’t think I did until I was at least in high school or college. It makes me wonder if I thought it was red before that moment—maybe I was part of this Mandela effect business.
