The lake that Jack cites in Titanic did not yet exist
Yet In Titanic, James Cameron’s mega-hit film about the unsinkable ship that now rests at the bottom of the ocean, Leonardo DiCaprio plays Jack Dawson. In the film, Leo’s character, Jack, recalls his childhood memories of fishing on Lake Wissota in Wisconsin.

The issue is that when Jack was a kid, Lake Wissota didn’t exist. A dam was built in 1917, which resulted in the formation of the lake. When the Titanic sank in 1912, Jack perished.
