#50 Zoo at Roger Williams Park
Its located in Rhode Island’s capital city of Providence. In 1872, it was opened. Overall, the Roger Williams Park Zoo is an excellent choice. While environmental education and conservation weren’t a thing when the third-oldest U.S. zoo debuted, it included a limited assortment of animals. More than 160 species of animals now call the 40-acre forests of the zoo home.
Tourists can see a rare Komodo dragon, red pandas, Masai giraffes, and African elephants in their natural habitats in the park. They’ll be able to feed giraffes and harbor seals, among other animals. The Explore and Soar area, which includes a zip ride and a train trip through nature, is even more exhilarating.
