28. Denver Zoo
The zoo is located in Denver, Colorado and was Opened In 1896. It all started with a black bear in 1896. Seriously. The Denver Zoo was founded at the end of the 19th century with the donation of a single American black bear. The Zoo was also one of the first in America to use landscaped natural habitats rather than cages.The Zoo is heavy on research and conservation and supports more than 600 projects across 60 countries.
