12. Audubon Zoo
Located in Louisiana’s city of New Orleans.It was inaugurated in 1914.Audubon Zoo, in a Nutshell.The Audubon Zoo, one of the city’s most well-known landmarks, is a must-see while in town.The Audubon Zoo is one of ten Audubon Nature Institutes in the United States, and it features a wide variety of animals from all around the world. There are more than 2,000 animals at the Zoo, which covers about 58 acres.This includes the Louisiana Swamp display, which is a good example.
The local Cajuns adopted Native American conservation methods, which are now on display for tourists to learn about. Black bears, raccoons, copperheads, and alligators are just a few of the creatures that call this area home.Additionally, the Asia Exhibit features elephants, orangutans, and even a tiger; the Jaguar Jungle is a rainforest setting with sloths, anteaters, and macaws.
