Tacoma, Washington, is the zoo’s location, with the date of First Occupation in 1905. At the end of the day, you can’t go wrong with Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium.The Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium, located in Tacoma’s Point Defiance Park, houses over 9,000 animals.The Zoo and aquarium were first opened in 1905, respectively. Combined, they’re the only zoological and aquatic facility of its kind in the whole Pacific Northwest.
The Cats of the Canopy exhibit, which debuted in 2011 and features climbing and jumping clouded leopards, is a must-see while visiting this Zoo.The Asian Forest Sanctuary, which features a waterfall and native plants to the woods of Southeast Asia, is also really cool. Sumatran tigers, Malayan tigers, and an Asian elephant can all be found here.
