Her Family Did Not Much Heed To The Criticism.
The controversial photo session for the December/January 2011 special edition of French Vogue was directed by Tom Ford, who is the editor-in-chief of Vogue, and Carine Roitfeld, who was the editor-in-chief of the magazine at the time. Shortly after that, Carine was terminated from her position at the magazine.
Carine’s departure came as a surprise, and rumors began to emerge that Thylane’s controversial picture may have been a factor in the decision. However, this was never proven. Because of the severe backlash, Thylane’s mother was forced to remove the Facebook profile that was dedicated to her daughter as a model.
