Introduced at Action Park in Vernon, New Jersey, in 1985, the Cannonball Loop became infamous almost immediately. The enclosed waterslide featured a full vertical loop, creating serious safety concerns during testing and operation. Riders frequently reported injuries, and the attraction lasted less than a month before regulators forced its closure.
