Action Park’s Kayak Experience attempted to recreate whitewater conditions in a controlled environment. In 1982, a rider passed away after coming into contact with an exposed electrical wire while trying to regain control of a capsized kayak. The accident highlighted major safety issues and contributed to the ride’s eventual closure.
