#2: WALL-E (2008) Robot Voice Built From Human and Mechanical Sounds
In WALL-E (2008), the robot voices were made by recording sound designer Ben Burtt’s own voice and running it through filters and mechanical devices. Small motor noises also helped shape the character. This mix gave the robots emotional expression while still keeping their mechanical, artificial identity intact on screen.
