How to Not Get Locked Out
Here’s a nice tip that we wished we knew when we last moved houses. It’s pretty easy to lose track of your house keys, what with all the movement going on. And what’s easier is locking yourself out, forcing you to exert whatever energy you have left to climb through an open window.
Instead of dealing with the headache of locked doors, do this simple trick. Take a rubber band and loop it through the doorknobs on both sides of a door, making sure it pushes the latch bolt in the entire way in. Alternatively, if you can, just lock the open door so the deadbolt stops the door from shutting and locking.
