Elephant Hawk Moth
People rarely have good things to say about moths–you hardly ever hear anyone going, “Oh, a moth in my kitchen! How darling.” Usually, folks attempt to shoo them away or worse. Although, take a look at this one particular moth; it’s quite colorful.
You can find this beautiful golden pink moth with patterns designed to scare predators in parks and gardens at dusk from May until August. It gets its name from the elephant hawk moth because its body looks like an elephant’s trunk!
