Shush, the swaddled babies are sleeping
The Anguloa uniflora orchid was discovered in the 18th century by an expeditionary team in Peru and Chile. This species was given its official name in honor of Chilean director of Mines and botanist, Don Francisco de Angulo.
This orchid is very fragrant, particularly when blooming in spring. It grows only 18 to 24 inches (45 cm to 60 cm). The plant typically flourishes at high altitudes; if you want one at home, you’ll need to mirror its natural climate as closely as possible so it will survive.
