Eat Fresh
I had never heard this until now, and I’m wondering if this is something that everyone else knows except for me. It makes sense in retrospect, though; you want something to cover up the softer, squishier bits on the bread’s interior. It hadn’t occurred to me before to use the ends of the loaf for that purpose.
However, as we discussed in a previous post, most of my life whenever we got a loaf of bread, it would be eaten 40 minutes after my mom went through the grocery store. And now that I live by myself, I don’t buy whole loaves of bread because I’ll never be able to finish them before they go bad.
