Floorit
Isn’t it amusing when you first encounter a new word from pop culture? All you have to go off of is the sound of the word, which can often lead to misconceptions and misspellings. One phrase that I get a good chuckle out of seeing spelled wrong is “for all intensive purposes.” It looks absurd when written, but if you think about it, it does seem rather close to the real idiom.
I’ve actually never heard anyone else make this mistake before. If you first hear a phrase when you’re really young, like from watching cartoons, it’s easy to believe that it’s true, and then you never question it. I actually think the word “floorit” is kind of cool, though. Maybe I’ll start using it in my everyday life.
