Mr. Lonely
If you think about it, the wrong version of this phrase actually makes a lot of sense. If you’re an only child, loneliness might be something you experience often – especially when you’re stuck at home with no one your age to play with. From now on, I think we should all start seeing it this way.
What would happen if a child confided in a trusted adult about feeling lonely, and that adult went to the child’s parents out of worry and concern? I imagine the parent’s reaction would be shock or disbelief. After all, their primary responsibility is to ensure that their children are happy and safe.
