Oh, Bother
If you’re like me, you grew up reading Winnie the Pooh. I adored the old Disney cartoons of those storybooks, even if they gave me a very bizarre understanding of what specific animals look like and how probable they are to have floor rugs and furniture in their burrows.
This is something I believe can be debated. The animals are based on real toys inspired by the author’s son, Christopher Robin. Even though the toys had adventures while Christopher Robin wasn’t with them, these escapades always took place when he was doing things like schoolwork where there weren’t any real-life consequences. I’m not entirely convinced that he made up scenarios in his head of his stuffed animals having fun while he struggled through a math test.
