Babies Left To Sleep Outside, Denmark1958
If you live in the United States, this picture may alarm you. However, it’s not unusual for Nordic parents. So, if you were alive in 1958 Denmark, you wouldn’t be shocked to see a baby napping alone in frigid conditions. Parents would put their babies down to sleep outside to get more air and strengthen their immune system.
Although in Denmark, the coldest temperatures only reach 37 degrees Fahrenheit, parents in Finland are still known to put their babies down for a nap outdoors- even when it dips as low as -16 degrees.
