Crocodile Eyes Glowing In The Dark
If you see glowing eyes in the dark, it’s best to stay away–especially if you’re in a body of water. That’s because crocodiles have some of the strongest jaws in the animal kingdom, and just one bite could break your bones. Believe it or not, their eyes glow in the dark! So if you’re ever swimming at night and see hundreds of sets of glowing eyes around you, know that it’s time to get out of there fast.
Crocodiles’ eyes contain a reflector system that allows them to see better in low-light or murky conditions. Light is reflected off the back of their eyes and into dwarfish photoreceptors, magnifying objects and making them appear closer than they actually are.
