Statue Of King Arthur Located In A Castle In Cornwall
The statue of King Arthur at Tintagel Castle in Cornwall is an excellent example of Rubin Eynon’s skill as a sculptor. The eight-foot bronze sculpture, entitled “Gallos,” depicts a menacing male figure holding a sword and wearing a crown.
Even though people commonly refer to it as the King Arthur Statue, the owner of the site says that it doesn’t represent any one specific person. Instead, they say it’s meant to reflect the general history of the area. Given the likelihood that this was once a summer residence for Dumnonia Kings, there’s likely some truth to their claim.
