Big Appetites and Bigger Palates
The following Indian belief is widespread: “The greater the meal, the better the meal.” They have enormous appetites and like to show them off. A typical dinner consists of many metal plates stacked on top of one another. The server gives you a dish with many metal platters in it.
You may include rice and bread with sauces, curries, and chutney to eat. You enjoy sweets and a cup of tea after the main course. Indians and Englishmen have a mutual appreciation for tea. Lunch is also relatively inexpensive, averaging around $1!
