Musicians who quit live music but kept recording

The Stone Roses helped define the Manchester music scene with their debut album The Stone Roses (1989). After touring became difficult and tensions grew, the band stopped performing regularly following their 1990s breakup. Although they later reunited briefly, their influence continued through recordings that shaped the Britpop era.
