Brittney Griner
Brittney Griner has established herself as one of the top players in the WNBA and is one of the players who is most widely recognised. Griner was compelled to spend her senior year living with an assistant coach after she disclosed her sexual orientation to her parents. Her autobiography, titled “In My Skin: My Life On and Off the Basketball Court,” was published in 2014, and it is a memoir in which she discusses bullying as well as self-acceptance.
There has never been an instance in Nike’s history where an openly gay athlete has signed an endorsement contract with the company. This is because Nike does not allow athletes to disclose their sexual orientation. She continues to push the boundaries of elegance and decency in everything that she does, even when she is not competing on the court.
