Brooke Mayo
At Bellator 172 in, Brooke Mayo competed for the first time in a professional mixed martial arts event. Mayo did not begin her professional athletic career as a boxer but rather as a soccer player in Division I. She was one of the quickest players on her team and enjoyed running sprints out on the field.
At that moment, the illness known as chronic exertional compartment syndrome was identified. This is a disorder that is brought on by activity and produces discomfort as well as swelling in the muscles of the arms and legs. She was surprised that her life would change in such a dramatic way so suddenly, but she is happy that she was able to conquer her obstacles and find the MMA.
