To be fair, this next one is really confusing. At least, I was confused when I was a kid, because I grew up with a guy whose younger brother’s name was Houston. The older brother was Dallas. I don’t think that the family was from Texas; I think they just picked this theme and ran with it.

And more important than that, why would they be talking to people in Houston when every space movie makes it perfectly clear that astronauts take off from Florida? That’s not a rhetorical question. Why is mission control in a different state than the place the rockets take off from? Someone tell me, please.
