#22: Narwhal Naysayer
This next one honestly makes a ton of sense. I mean, who among us has ever actually seen a narwhal in real life? In fact, while writing this, I realized that I’ve never even seen a photograph of a narwhal. I had to Google it. Turns out that if you see a photo of a whole bunch of them swimming together, it’s kind of intimidating.
It makes sense, though; they live in the Arctic, where most of us will never go, and you don’t see them at zoos or aquariums because they don’t do well in captivity. So if someone has never seen one, and if they’re confused by the unicorn horn thing, it’s no big surprise that they might think they’re mythical.
