Right, it’s time for another entry where I don’t get to be smug anymore because I genuinely did not know this little tidbit until I read it while making this list. I had to Google it to make sure this person wasn’t joking, because I was completely convinced that it was Washington state.

I think it’s because of the old mascot: you tend to see things named after Native Americans much more often in the Western United States and the Midwest than you do on the East Coast. Apparently, I need to go rethink a lot of my assumptions.
