Orbity from The Jetsons revival (1985, 1987) arrived when producers tried to refresh a familiar sitcom formula. The fuzzy alien pet changed colors and bounced through stories, despite the show already having a popular animal companion. Like many late additions, Orbity felt designed to attract attention, not improve the series.
