He Tried His Best
Edward put in a week’s worth of labor there. The purpose of the training week was to determine whether or not he was qualified for the position. He worked hard to ensure that he made a favorable impression on his manager, George Sunderland, and he succeeded. He seemed like a passionate man.
In their interactions, George never gave Edward the feeling that he was tense or anxious. However, he would learn the hard way when something he had done was brought to the attention of his boss. And it would alter the course of his life in a manner that could never be reversed.
