After receiving her initial diagnosis, Swift immediately began to make positive changes to her lifestyle in order to improve her health. Her treatment was a step in the right direction toward a healthier lifestyle. However, the mental shifts that occurred as a result of those experiences were just as significant as the physical ones.
She had the impression that the rest of the world simply did not comprehend what it meant to be disabled; she believed that there were a great number of people living with invisible disabilities who were subjected to stigma on a daily basis.
