This high-tech dishwasher projects a timer onto the floor. I can appreciate why some people might get a kick out of this, but to be honest, I see this design as kind of useless. The only one who would enjoy it is my cat! I would hate straining my neck to look down at the floor. I would rather just be able to see the countdown on the machine itself. 

Studies show that we already spend too much time in that position, looking down at our phones or hunched over a computer screen. We really don’t need another product that forces us to look down! If it projected onto the ceiling, you could potentially see it from other rooms, which would be nice! Should I get into product design?
