Cold Quandaries
When I was in high school, there was a kid who wore shorts, a t-shirt, and no shoes every single day: rain, shine, snow, freezing temperatures; he didn’t care. (The no-shoes thing really grossed some people out, although if you think about it, surely your feet and your shoes are equally gross after walking around on the ground for a while.)
That’s the sort of thing you can do when you’re 15 and you don’t feel pain. The older you get, though, the more you can’t tolerate the cold. That’s why old people keep their houses at 75 degrees. (And if wanting your house warm makes you an old person, I must be 95 years old at heart.)
