#11: So Shiny!
These Doc Martens 1460 from the UK were purchased back in 1992. That’s thirty years ago (let that sink in for a minute), and they still look brand new. The owner didn’t specify if they’d ever had them repaired or if the laces had been replaced, but either way, they’re gorgeous, and I want them in my shoe collection.
A new pair runs about $150, but you won’t find them with the fabulous yellow laces. They’re black on black or black on white now. There is an amazing pair of Doc Martens Vonda Flora with beautiful red rose embroidery that I’ve been eyeing for a while. Now that I know they can last thirty years, I have all the more reason to buy them!
