Personally, I think this is a really interesting idea! If the minimum wage that a company could pay was related to the wage of its highest-earning employee, it would prevent situations where high-ranking executives are paying themselves absurd amounts while paying the people at the bottom of the organization a pittance.
Plus, if companies would pay their employees more, it would almost certainly result in improved morale and in less turnover, as employees would be more interested in sticking around the company for a long time and would be more motivated to prove their worth.
