#44: Say It Louder for the People in the Back
If you are not American, this may or may not make sense to you, so let me explain: we have a very weird system where you are required to pay taxes, but they don’t tell you how much you owe; you have to use an impossibly complex set of forms and calculations to figure out the amount, and if you get it wrong, the IRS comes after you.
Some other countries are way more sensible about it. They simply tell you the amount that you owe, and you pay it. How hard is that to set up, America? it would probably be in the IRS’s best interest, anyway, because then there wouldn’t be people who don’t pay because they can’t figure it out and can’t afford to pay someone to prepare their taxes.
