Ring-Tailed Possum
The ringtail possum is a species of possum found only in Australia. It is a very small mammal. This little animal spends the majority of its life up in the branches of trees, where it feeds on various types of plants and flowers. Baby ringtail possums are dependent on their mothers for survival, just like the young of most other marsupials.
The young ringtail possums spend about the first three months of their lives in the pouch of their mother. Because of this, the young animals are especially defenseless in the event that something happens to their mother. Thankfully, a veterinarian came to the rescue of this possum baby. There is no doubt in our minds that the animal will forever be grateful to this kind man.
