#3: The Launch of Gemini 3
The first-ever manned mission of NASA’s Gemini space program, Gemini 3, ascended its maiden voyage in March of 1956 with astronauts Gus Grissom and John Young aboard. This incredible milestone paved the way for what would eventually lead to the 1969 lunar landing, a major boon in the space race between America and Russia.
