#9: Sculpting the Iceberg
This image demonstrates that a little plaster and paint can fool just about anyone under the right lighting. Paramount special effects craftsmen worked hard to build a towering, artificial iceberg prop. I know, the cinematic illusion is ruined… It seems like simple wood, wire mesh, and regular studio plaster could turn into a terrifying ocean hazard. The studio tradesmen were true artists.
