Pokémons That Can Be Found In The Real World

September 13, 2010 by Elizabeth Grillo

Poliwag: An Identical Name To A Creature That Exists In Real Life

Poliwag is an early-game Pokémon. It almost has the same name as a real-life creature. Polliwogs are tadpole larvae that develop into amphibians. Some tadpoles live on land (they don’t have legs). Poliwag is a water-type Pokémon that uses Water Absorb or Damp. Poliwag’s swirling tummy is readily recognizable. These translucent critters travel through the water until they become frogs or toads.
