#11: Javier Milei — The Screaming TV Pundit (2023)
Milei built his fame on talk shows screaming insults at opponents, brandishing a chainsaw, and spreading wild claims about “the caste”. In the end, the alleged “caste” proved to be no more than a convenient campaign fiction: upon taking office, he immediately packed his cabinet with the very establishment insiders he spent years condemning. Partnering with traditional political machines to pass his decrees and his vetoes of Congress’s laws, he repeated most of his predecessors’ economic and political formulas.
