#9: Glass Does Not Turn to Harmless Dust (Die Hard, 1988)
Characters crashing through windows often emerge with only a few superficial scratches before continuing the fight. Ordinary household glass behaves very differently. When broken, it produces razor-sharp shards capable of causing severe lacerations and significant blood loss. Even tempered safety glass, designed to reduce injury, can still create dangerous impacts. Film productions typically replace real glass with specially manufactured breakaway materials that fragment much more safely. Those movie props create spectacular visuals while protecting actors, but they bear little resemblance to everyday windows.
