The seed of doubt
“When was your last period darling,” the nurse asked politely.
“I don’t know, I guess last month?”
“That’s something you should check. It’s not uncommon to have your period a little late but I would defiantly suggest you do a pregnancy test.” In the nurse’s mind, she saw this event a dozen times, suspecting that the poor girl is pregnant before graduating.
“Sure, thanks for the update ms. Carter” said Michelle. She was hoping to get a painkiller and maybe be released from the school but in return, she got a troublesome thought she couldn’t shake off. “What if I am pregnant?” What will she say to Richard? What will her friends say? This was not at all what she envisioned for herself.
