Educational Loan Debt
There is no way the president can extend such a remission to the millions of recent college graduates who still owe money on their student loans. While they have the ability to grant presidential pardons to those guilty of the most serious offenses, they are unable to pardon students.
In spite of Obama’s forgiveness policy, borrowers will still have to pay 10-20 years of monthly payments until they are finally forgiven. The good news is that if you’ve been waiting around for the proper president to come along and declare the end of student debt, you’re doomed.
