Let’s Normalize Crying
Often parents aren’t prepared to handle their children’s emotions. They want to see their kids behave in specific ways, even if it’s not accurate to their feelings. Some see crying as a sign of weakness or defiance, so they shame their children for not living up to their strict expectations.

Shaming your kid for crying can lead them to suppress their emotions, later making it very hard for them to connect with others. Crying is healthy and normal, especially at a young age when we still don’t understand our feelings and the world around us. Embracing our children’s emotions, even the ugly ones, will turn them into much healthier adults.
