#19: Zachary Taylor
For many years, in order to be considered for the role of president of the United States, the person in question needed to have military experience. And seeing as the United States was seen as a beacon for many other countries for many years, other countries followed suit when choosing their next leader.
America’s 12th president, Zachary Taylor, filled the brief perfectly. He was seen as an American hero for his service during the Mexican-American War, as well as the War of 1812. Even though he was a military guy, he had an IQ of 139.8, which is still rather impressive.
