#14: Herbert Hoover
Not every president of the United States has a colorful, successful, and endearing past however, that was the reality for Herbert Hoover. The 31st president of the United States was a renowned international mining engineer and notified humanitarian who took a large role in feeding the people of Europe during World War I.
Having served from 1929-1933, Herbert Hoover was leading America during a difficult time. However, with an IQ of 141.6, he was able to secure a degree in Engineering from Stanford University and went on to have a great impact on society. His many efforts in humanitarian work were appreciated; however, he became the American scapegoat for the Depression.
